Fees, duties, and methods of payment of the selection committee members should be agreed ahead of interviews being conducted.

Fees to selection committee members must be processed through payroll unless the individual has provided proof of self-employment status.

Verified travel and subsistence forms must be used where selection committee members are not receiving a daily fee but are claiming travel and subsistence.
Where selection committee members get reimbursed for travel and receive a fee through payroll, the subsistence and travel to & from home is taxed through payroll.
The board of management must ensure that travel and subsistence rates paid are not in excess of civil service rates linked here.
Reimbursement of travel and subsistence expenses paid tax free to employees must be reported through the Enhanced Reporting requirements system on ROS.
