Newly Appointed Principals Training Videos

Overview
To support new Principals in their role, the FSSU has recorded a short series of training videos. These trainings videos are designed to help new Principals understand the necessary internal financial controls and financial reporting process within their schools. The training videos address a number of practical issues. Some examples of items that are covered are the month-end financial review, operation of bank accounts, the purchasing system and the financial reports to be reviewed.

• Financial Internal Controls
  Explains the key financial controls schools should have in place for example payment controls, purchasing procedures and the use of school credit cards.
• Monthly Reporting Review
  Explains the monthly financial reports that should be reviewed by the Principal.
• Monthly Reporting – Balance Sheet Review
  Focuses on the monthly financial accounts review process specifically looking at the balance sheet review.
